Why DPS Exists
Dark Photography School was created out of a few requests I have received for technique and advice from my other photography blog, Goodnight, Raleigh!. This site will focus on providing foundational instruction on night photography.
Style Of Instruction
Many of the lessons and points presented here will be brief. The aim is to provide you with inspiration to use these ideas and build upon them to create your own stunning night photographs. In order to be brief, I will often make assumptions about the readers’ equipment. I am working under the assumption that you have a digital SLR and a tripod. An external flash is fairly essential, but you could get by without it.
